Planning a trip to Santorini, Greece soon and don’t know where to stay?
The Blue Dolphins Hotel in Santorini has absolutely amazing views, spacious suites, and was a perfect location for my trip to Santorini. I definitely recommend this property to anyone on a budget when traveling to the Greek Islands, as the value of this stay was incredible. STAY SUMMARY:
My stay at the Blue Dolphins hotel was very pleasant. The breakfast in the morning was a great addition to my stay, especially with the gorgeous views of the ocean and caldera.
The views were my favorite part of this hotel location, and I could sit on the balcony of my room for hours looking at this view. The hotel is also quite small so no issues with loud surroundings or noise from other rooms.
Location: 10/10
The location here is unmatched. You are only a 10-minute walk to the city center of Fira, and about a 15-minute uphill walk to the town of Imerovigli. This is great because there are plenty of dining and shopping options within walking distance from the hotel.
Service: 9/10
The front desk was very helpful and helped us set up car transfers throughout our stay. This is very important as you can get scammed by taxi drivers in Santorini, so having a trusted transfer and a locked-in transfer fee was great.
I will say the cleaning service didn’t have a lot of attention to detail, so that is why I knocked one point off of the service rating for this hotel. Overall though, we were assisted in whatever we asked for help with and had a great experience with the staff of the hotel.
Amenities: 9/10
The one downside to this property is that there is no pool. This is a feature that many people look for when booking a place in Santorini. Ultimately, I decided the pool wasn’t as important to me as other factors, like my budget for example.
The hotel also offers an option to go to the sister property which has a pool, for free of charge. However, I don’t recommend doing this as the other hotel guests at the sister property have first dibs on the pool chairs, and it isn’t conveniently located near the hotel. Overall, the amenities were fairly good but the absence of the pool was the only negative.
Value: 10/10
This hotel is by far one of the best deals in Santorini. I could not believe what we paid here compared to how much it would have costed us at other hotels with a view like we had.
If you are looking for a more budget option, this is the best place to be!
Overall Rating: 9/10
My stay was excellent at this hotel, with it only falling behind slightly in the categories of amenities and service. Highly recommend staying at Blue Dolphns Hotel if you travel to Santorini!
